Aaron Bjorndal

Aaron Bjorndal was born in Vancouver, B.C., grew up in Kamloops, and moved to Edmonton in 1999. After a variety of different employment in various fields Aaron decided on Rolfing. He first got Rolfed at the age of fifteen to deal with a serious spinal issue (scoliosis) and was helped immensely. Health and wellness and Japanese were his background before heading to the Rolf Institute in Boulder, Colorado.
Aaron began his Rolfing training in 1998 and completed the training in 2000. He has been practicing out of the General Hospital downtown since 2001. His no nonsense and humourous approach to his work has kept his practice thriving and continuing to grow over the years.
Continuing his studies Aaron has added some complementary modalities to his Rolfing practice: PSYCH-K, Kirlian photagraphy, and Devic Clearing.
In the near future Aaron plans to enrich his knowledge by assisting in Rolfing classes and possibly becoming an instructor of Rolfing.

Don Bruce

Don Bruce has been practicing Rolfing® since 1997. He has been trained in Rolfing, Rolfing Movement, Therapeutic Massage, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Trauma Energetics, Therapeutic Touch, Chi Gong, and has a BA in Psychology.
As a child, Don had two major accidents leaving his body and spine compromised. In his late twenties he received Rolfing. He was immediately hooked and the benefits were numerous including; relief from low back pain, less scoliosis, and better posture. He knew he wanted to become a Rolfer.
Don also works with the body-mind connection with a modality he calls Body Psychology. The aim of Body Psychology is to work with your body and mind simultaneously. It helps you to release the painful restrictions in your body and the issues that lie within them.

I first turned to Rolfing® when other therapies could not help me manage the discomfort I was experiencing in my body. I was pleasantly surprised when the chronic wrist pain and shoulder tension disappeared as the Rolfer addressed my body's most prominent imbalances and fascial restrictions. I also became more aware of how I use my body and how to move with greater ease. It has been 5 years, and I continue to move without discomfort. I became a Rolfer to share with others this sense of empowerment through functional posture and movement.

Hans Diehl

Hans Diehl has been practicing Rolfing for 10 years and got into it because it identified and treated the source of his own chronic back pain.

Hans has completed 5 years classroom training at the Canadian College of Osteopathy and is currently working on thesis. This adds depth of understanding and greatly enhances the precision and effectiveness of his treatments.

Joe Bally

I'm Joe Bally, your friendly neighbourhood Rolfer. I graduated from The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in 1995, and became a Certified Advanced Rolfer in 2002. I had a full time practice in Calgary for fourteen years, and moved to the Comox Valley in 2009 in order to slow down and smell the rhododendrons. In addition to the soft tissue component of Rolfing I find that slow gentle spinal manipulation helps relieve low back, neck and shoulder pain. Prior to becoming a Rolfer I acquired a Bachelor of Education degree, a Diploma in Photographic Technology, Certification as a Life Skills Coach, and training in massage therapy.

Tara Detwiler

Tara Detwiler was introduced to Rolfing in 1982, and after a profound experience from the work decided to study at The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in 1987 after completing her B.A. She has maintained a private practice in Rolfing and completed both her Rolf Movement certification in 1995 and her Advanced training in 1998.

This exploration still continues and my enjoyment to explore somatics experiences has only grown. Jennifer Hayes

Jennifer Hayes was certified at The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration in Boulder Colorado in 1990. Since that time she has dedicated herself to her Rolfing practice as well as completing workshops in Visceral Manipulation, Spinal Mechanics, Shock and Trauma Therapy, and Rolf Movement. Jennifer received her advanced certification from the Rolf Institute in 1998. She also holds a B.A. in Theatre and Dance and has practised Yoga for over a decade.

Allison Talacko

Allison Talacko earned a B.Sc. in Biology at McGill University in 1994. She graduated from the Rolf Institute in 1996, and has been practicing in Toronto ever since. Her interests are in yoga, running, squash, health and personal development through Rolfing and Professional Coaching.

Paul Clifford

Paul Clifford was certified as a Rolfer in 1988. He was also certified by the Trager Institute in 1986, and has maintained a licence as a Registered Massage Therapist in Ontario since 1984. He practiced in Ontario and British Columbia from 1984 to 1998, from 1988 to 1998 mostly as a Rolfer. He currently teaches massage therapy full time at Fleming College in Peterborough. He is the co-author of 2 editions of Outcome-Based Massage — a popular textbook about medical massage. He looks forward to Rolfing again when he retires.

Kaj Devai

At 49 years old, Rolfing structural integration entered my life as a necessary point of personal evolution. Juliette Anglehart Zedda

Juliette Anglehart-Zedda is a Certified Rolfer, Yoga teacher and Nia Instructor. She is devoted to women as their pre and postnatal yoga teacher and their doula. She is also a marriage commissioner and a palliative care volunteer. She practices vipassana and kabbalah. She aspires to the work of the priestess.

Rolfing has been a real entry door in her life. "Rolfing gave me my feet and the Earth beneath them!" She is now pursuing her somatic studies with Visionary Cranio-Sacral with Hugh Milne in California, and is also deeply interested by Ron Kurtz work with Hakomi.

She believes that there is life in death.
